What Is "SRT" And Why Is It So Important?
The "SRT" in Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT stands for Sustained Release Technology, and it's the major difference that gives this product its superior effectiveness.
Instead of the magnesium being dumped into your system all at once, SRT slows down the release of magnesium so it's spread out over 8 hours, which allows your body to absorb the maximum it needs to start feeling better... without the diarrhea side effect that high doses of regular magnesium supplements cause.
Why Do I Need A High Dose Of Magnesium?
If you want to alleviate symptoms like muscle aches, stiff joints, headaches, chronic constipation, insomnia, fatigue, and many others — all classic symptoms of magnesium deficiency — then you must take a high enough dose to replenish deficiency.

What Size Dose Is High Enough?
The RDI for magnesium is 400mg per day, so everyone should at least get that much.
Jigsaw Health's recommended dose is a little higher at 500mg a day (or more, as bowel tolerance allows). This is because many people have a longstanding magnesium deficiency and need more than the "minimum" to replenish their magnesium stores.
Some experts in the field — such as Dr. Russell Blaylock — recommend 1000mg a day as the optimal dose to get relief from symptoms that are caused by magnesium deficiency, and to protect against future, life-threatening conditions which prolonged magnesium deficiency has been shown to cause.
Low Dose vs. High Dose Magnesium Supplements
Although there are thousands of cheaper magnesium supplements available, the simple truth is that you CANNOT replenish a magnesium deficiency with a cheap magnesium supplement.
Why? Because you cannot take high doses of a regular magnesium supplement without it causing diarrhea. And the low doses you're restricted to simply won't deliver results.
So, yes they cost less, but that doesn't matter much when the ONLY thing they will deliver — at high enough doses — is an extreme laxative effect.
What Can Magnesium Help Me With?*

How Long Will It Take To See Results?
Many of our customers see a difference in the very first week of using Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT, because an absorbable, high dose supplement starts to reverse magnesium deficiency right away.
While most of our customers report that 500mg a day works wonders for their symptoms, many others take 1,000mg a day (as bowel tolerance allows) in order to follow Dr. Blaylock's recommendation, and to gain the maximum number of benefits that magnesium provides when your body has an ample supply.
What Are The Signs of Magnesium Deficiency?
Early symptoms of magnesium deficiency include body aches, chronic constipation, headaches and migraines, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, PMS, leg cramps, muscle spasms, anxiety, depression and more.
Left untreated, a magnesium deficiency can lead to more life-threatening conditions such as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and others.
Magnesium is involved in more than 325 enzyme reactions. It's likely there are hundreds more that scientists have yet to discover.

Can I Replenish Magnesium Deficiency Taking Only The RDI?
No. The Recommended Dietary Intake (RDI) is the minimum amount required to avoid a deficiency — not necessarily the maximum amount required for optimal health.
Most magnesium supplements cannot meet, let alone exceed, the 400mg RDI for magnesium because they will often produce an unwanted laxative effect (aka - diarrhea) at that level.
Comparatively, four easy-to-swallow tablets of Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT delivers 500mg of magnesium each day, exceeding the RDI by 25% to effectively replenish deficiency — without causing diarrhea.

Pros: Use of Magnesium with SRT seems to produce results Cons: none "I have had a torn deltoid muscle injury and have been informed by medical sources and through reading that an increased amount of magnesium in my diet could aid in the healing and strength of the shoulder muscle. I've tried a number of other brands and forms of magnesium, including tablets and a skin absorbable form over an 8 week period and have noticed no effects. I began taking Magnesium w/SRT and noticed effects with a week. I've also experienced a general increase in energy level which I attribute to the Magnesium. I've taken the vitamin pack at the same time and some of he benefits could be partially attributable to the vitamin pack."

"At age 73 I had never taken a regular nutritional supplement. I told a good friend that I was having a "charley horse". She gave me a bottle of Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT. No more problems. Recently I got a massive bruise to my thigh. I doubled my dose of Magnesium and added vitamin C. The bruise went away much faster than the doctor predicted. The results were so impressive that my wife also takes Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT. We are both eagerly waiting for Jigsaw Vitamin C w/SRT."

Pros: Easy to take; Does NOT cause diarrhea Cons: none "I have fibromyalgia and most new info states we need magnesium; most (magnesium citirate) casuses diarreha. This product does not, in addition, magnesium is needed for other illnesses and by our body. Since I have taken it my once split fingernails have grown strong! Tho my fibro pains (have fibro since age 18; now 59) are not alot better; I will keep seeking supplements to help it. I have taken this product about 3-4 months."

Pros: No "diarrhea effect" Cons: It's a lot of pills to take! "I have developed a very rare neuromuscular disease that causes muscle spasticity. This means that my muscles stay somewhat contracted, because the nerves don't send the message to relax quickly enough. Over time, this produces tightness and rigidity in my muscles. I don't do well with any prescription muscle relaxers that I've tried. They tend to make me very spacey and sleepy. My neurologist suggested I take large amounts of magnesium on a daily basis and specifically recommended Jigsaw SRT Magnesium. I've used this product for about 5 months, and just placed an order for more! So far, I can tell a very significant difference in muscle tone on any day I may forget to take my magnesium. And the biggest advantage to taking Jigsaw SRT Magnesium, is that even though I've worked up to taking twice the amount of magnesium each day as I took when I was using other brands, I never have that nasty "diarrhea effect" that other formulas have caused in the past. Jigsaw SRT Magnesium has been very gentle on my digestive system and very effective for my muscle symptoms!"

Pros: The many great "side effects" of this product Cons: I always forget to order before I run out!
"Started using about 2 years ago at same time I began a couple other supplements. While taking it, my nails strengthened, my hair was "hardier", (my hair dresser term) and was growing faster than usual. Not being familiar with magnesium sups, I attributed the changes to the other supplements. Then I ran out of it! I'd had to replace my computer and in doing so lost my reorder info so began using a drug store brand.

Background Information On Magnesium
More than seventy-five years ago, medical scientists declared magnesium to be an essential nutrient, indispensable to life.
When this mineral is part of your diet, you are guarding against and helping to alleviate health threats such as heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, diabetes, depression, arthritis, and asthma. But while research continues to reaffirm magnesium's irreplaceable contribution to good health, many Americans remain dangerously deficient.
Up to 80% of Americans are Deficient in Magnesium... Why?
The simplest answer is that our modern food supply (including organic food) simply doesn't contain the magnesium it should due to highly depleted soil conditions. Even back in 1915, there were worries about the nutrient quality of the soil, as found in a record of Congressional Testimony. So even if you eat healthy, having a deficiency of this critical mineral is likely.
The impact of deficiency is significant and wide-ranging since magnesium plays a role in over 325 functions in the body. For example, if you are suffering from any of the following symptoms you may need supplemental magnesium:

Why Haven't My Blood Tests Ever Shown a Magnesium Deficiency?
This is a very valid question. And it has a very logical answer... Approximately 50% of total body magnesium is found in bone. The other half is found predominantly inside cells of body tissues and organs. Only 1% of the body's magnesium supply is found in blood, and the body works very hard to keep blood levels of magnesium constant. If magnesium becomes depleted in the body, blood levels take top priority and are maintained at the expense of the bones and cells.
Given this, it's easy to see why blood tests would be highly inaccurate since they misrepresent the real status of magnesium levels in the body. Doctors who rely on blood tests to check magnesium — instead of magnesium deficiency signs and symptoms (and the realization that up to 80 percent of the population is deficient) — will miss an important, and easily treatable diagnosis.
What Role Does Magnesium Play in Energy Production?
One of the primary roles of magnesium is to activate adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy storage molecule, to create and store energy. Without magnesium, there is no energy. Without energy, there is no life.
What Role Does Magnesium Play in Relaxing Muscles?
Another important role of magnesium is to work with calcium to help regulate the body's nerve and muscle tone. In many nerve cells, magnesium serves as a chemical gate blocker – as long as there is enough magnesium around, calcium can't rush into the nerve cell and activate the nerve. This gate blocking by magnesium helps keep the nerve relaxed.
If your diet provides you with too little magnesium, this gate blocking can fail and the nerve cell can become over-activated. When nerve cells are over-activated, they can send too many messages to the muscles and cause the muscles to over-contract. One often over-looked cause of tight muscles is too much calcium.
This chain of events helps explain how magnesium deficiency can trigger muscle tension, muscle soreness, muscle spasms, muscle cramps, and muscle fatigue especially in the back and legs where some of the body's largest muscles live.
