"I experienced immediate results. Within the first couple of days I noticed decrease muscle tension, more energy, and a decrease in anxious feelings."
The "SRT" in Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT® stands for Sustained Release Technology, and it's the major difference that gives this product its superior effectiveness.
Instead of the magnesium being dumped into your system all at once, SRT slows down the release of magnesium so it's spread out over 8 hours, which allows your body to absorb the maximum it needs to start feeling your best... without the dreaded digestive discomfort that high doses of regular magnesium supplements can cause.*
If you want to promote healthy and relaxed muscle tone and function, as well as support joint health, digestive health, healthy sleep cycles, and overall energy, then you must take a high enough dose of magnesium to compensate for the fact that our typical modern daily diet tends to run low on this vital mineral.*
The RDI for magnesium is 400mg per day, so everyone should at least get that much.
Jigsaw Health's recommended dose is a little higher at 500mg a day (or more, as bowel tolerance allows). This is because many people have been running low on magnesium for years and need more than the "minimum" to replenish their magnesium stores.
Some experts in the field — such as Dr. Russell Blaylock — recommend 1000mg a day as the optimal dose to relieve the effects that can be connected to magnesium-deprived diets.*
Although there are thousands of cheaper magnesium supplements available, the simple truth is that you CANNOT replenish your body's magnesium stores with a cheap magnesium supplement.
Why? Because you cannot take high doses of a regular magnesium supplement without it causing a very uncomfortable laxative effect—your body's way of discarding high levels of magnesium that it is unable to absorb all at once. And the low doses you're restricted to simply won't deliver results.
So, yes other magnesium supplements cost less, but that doesn't matter much when the ONLY thing they will deliver — at high enough doses — is an extreme laxative effect.
Our SRT technology successfully addresses this issue by SLOWLY releasing a higher amount of magnesium, pacing it out over 6 to 8 hours—a rate at which your body can properly absorb and utilize the mineral. Your body gets the magnesium it's craving, without any digestive drama.*
Quatrefolic® (5-MTHF, or folate) is an active form of Vitamin B-9, folic acid. For many people, it is difficult to convert folic acid into folate.
Folate is an important co-factor to P5P and beneficial to many bodily functions. Together, these greatly improve Magnesium’s function supporting healthy muscular tone, enhancing overall energy, and promoting stable mood, calmness, and good sleep.
P5P (Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate), the active form of Vitamin B6, performs over 30 critical enzymatic reactions in the body, including the manufacture of serotonin and dopamine in the brain. The inactive forms of B6 (pyridoxine hydro-chloride, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine) have to be converted by the liver to the active form (Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate or P5P) the body needs. Individuals with compromised liver function have difficulty making this conversion and consequently may be at risk of a vitamin B6 deficiency.
P5P works synergistically with Magnesium in many kinds of ways, including relaxing muscles and nerves. A deficiency in either causes many issues where the body depends on both Mg and P5P. We put them together because it is not unusual for people with chronic illness to not make P5P effectively. It is critical to get both.
Since Vitamin B6 is already difficult to get and convert into its usable form, we give it to you already in its active P5P form. All the benefits are available immediately after absorption - no trouble converting or waiting.
Methylcobalamin, the active form of Vitamin B12, is included as a supporting B vitamin to contribute to the effectiveness of Magnesium.
Additionally, methylcobalamin is a necessary cofactor for your body's ability to properly methylate. Methylation is a cycle that occurs in your body billions of times every second. It's one of the most important biochemical processes for long-term health and essential for the proper function of almost all of your body's systems.
Using the active form of B12 is particularly important because people with chronic conditions are poor methylators -- making it difficult to convert inactive forms into their useful active form.
Furthermore... Mangesium, B6, B9, and B12 work together to help maintain normal blood levels of the amino acid, homocyteine.
Homocysteine at high concentrations is linked to serious health conditions. Magnesium and these supporting B vitamins work together to maintain normal blood levels for optimal health.
Many of our customers see a difference in the very first week of using Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT®, because an absorbable, high dose supplement starts to replenish magnesium stores right away.*
While most of our customers report that 500mg a day works wonders for their health goals, many others take 1,000mg a day (as bowel tolerance allows) in order to follow Dr. Blaylock's recommendation, and to gain the maximum number of benefits that magnesium provides when your body has an ample supply.*
When the body's magnesium stores are taxed—a common occurrence considering our magnesium-poor diets—the body provides some clear hints. Body aches, constipation, tension headaches, reduced energy, interrupted sleep, and many other indicators are the body's way of saying it wants more magnesium.* Magnesium is involved in more than 325 enzyme reactions. It's likely there are hundreds more that scientists have yet to discover.
No. The Recommended Dietary Intake (RDI) is the minimum amount required to avoid a deficiency — not necessarily the maximum amount required for optimal health.
Most magnesium supplements cannot meet, let alone exceed, the 400mg RDI for magnesium because they will often produce an unwanted laxative effect (aka - diarrhea) at that level.
Comparatively, four easy-to-swallow tablets of Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT® delivers 500mg of magnesium each day, exceeding the RDI by 25% to effectively achieve healthy magnesium levels— without uncomfortable digestive issues.*
This is a great product! I have seizures and my neurologist told me that I need to get my mag level up to 2.7. I tried several pills from vitamin cottage with no success (except loose stools was very successful ). I've even tried soaking my feet in magnesium, which was supposed to be the BEST way to increase your mag level quickly. It did increase a little but not a lot. Then I heard about this and thought I would try it. Well, it works great! My magnesium level was 2.0 and after a month of using this, my level went up to 2.3. Thanks Jigsaw, this is the ONLY thing that has worked at increasing my mag level without the loose stools. Unknown on 30th Mar 2015
I had been suffering with muscle twitching. Shortly after taking this product, my symptoms were gone. Thank you! Unknown on 28th Mar 2015
I like this one. Cara on 15th Mar 2015
I had a severe pain in my right shoulder as a result of over stressed use. Went to the doctor and got a muscle relaxer and pain pill. Started 4 tables (500mg) and within 24 hours noticed immediate improvement. After several days went to 8 capsules (1000mg) and noticed even more improvement.
After 3 weeks my shoulder is 100% now and will continue to take 4 a day from now on. Bill on 4th Mar 2015
I came down with a Mg deficiency as a result of decreased intake coupled with intense training. Eventually, I could not sleep and was experiencing something called the Dawn Phenomenon, an early am release of cortisol to balance low blood glucose. As a result, my fasting blood glucose levels were high upon wakening despite exceptional A1c levels. The high fasting BG appears to be a result of insulin not being able to do it's job, possibly as a result of low Mg not allowing glucose to enter cells, at least that was my theory. In addition I was getting heart palpitations and muscle twitches which appeared to be the result of a potassium deficiency that was secondary to the magnesium deficiency. Eating large amounts of food high in potassium would improve the symptoms, but only for a little while. Since Mg is necessary for potassium to enter cells, I would need to correct the MG deficiency first.
Within the first week of using Jigsaw Magnesium with SRT, I was sleeping like a baby. The standard dosage of 500mg was not enough and I noticed I would get about 6 solid hours of sleep when taking it before bed, but then I would wake up and not be able to go back to sleep. I'm guessing this is the length of time 2 pills stays in my system. Moving from a dosage schedule of 2 pills every 12 hours to 2 pills every 6 hours remedied the situation. After 2 weeks my fasting BG numbers dropped from a weekly average of 116mg/dL to a weekly average of 92mg/dL. The palpitations and twitches were more or less under control with moderate potassium supplementation after 4 weeks. Prior to that I would need to eat large amounts of potassium every day, upwards of 5000mg, something I attributed to urinary potassium dumping due to a low carb diet and the magnesium deficiency. My serum K and Mg levels were both in the reference range, but since both of these minerals are primarily located in the cell serum levels are poor indicators. Once my urinary frequency slowed, I dropped my dosage of potassium. My plan is to eventually drop the Mag w/SRT dosage to 500-750mg as a maintenance dose once I no longer have to get up to pee at night. As the days go by the length of time between nodding off and having to get up to go keeps increasing.
Overall I rate Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT as an incredible product. Prior to trying it I had tried transdermal magnesium oil and magnesium glycinate. While I would get an immediate effect from the transdermal spray, it only lasted a little while and I was apprehensive about spraying large amounts on my skin because it irritated it and I would probably just end up peeing out the excess unless I applied it every 3-4 hours. The glycinate didn't really do anything for me which is why i decided to try the Jigsaw SRT. I am a whole foods kinda guy and try to avoid supplements as much as possible, but I believe the Jigsaw will become a staple supplement for me going forward. I've never been a sound sleeper but this stuff works wonders and it shows in my fitbit sleep data. Thanks a lot for the awesome product. David M. on 23rd Jan 2015
I started taking this product about a month ago after reading about Magnesium deficiency. I knew this was the route I wanted to go to resolve a whole host of issues I have been having for the past two years. I have more energy and sleeping better then I have in years!!! I love this form of Mag the very best. No laxative issues and I get the amount I need all day and night. I take 2 am, 2 midday, and 2 at bedtime. If extra stressed I take additional 2 with no issues. This product corrects my magnesium deficiency very effectively. Much better than the other supplements I've tried. I seem to have more energy and found an increase in my libido as a nice side effect. THE OTHER BENEFIT IS MY LEG MUSCLES DON'T TWITCH ANY MORE. That was an annoying problem I don't have to worry about anymore, as long as I take the pills morning and evening. The effective dose for me is two pills twice a day. Thank you for a quality product that lives up to the claims for me. Tracey H. on 23rd Jan 2015
I have been using it for a long time thanks to Dr Blaylock who introduced it to me. I love the product and I introduced it to my son who is very happy to use it. We can not live without it, sometimes I have forgoten to take it and I can tell the difference. Thank you, I really mean it, I do recommend it to everybody and I do it to my friends. Mariet O. My health has improved in many ways since starting this product. My digestive system works ever so much better. The bloating and indigestion have almost ceased to exist. Thanks for this great product my life has changed for the better. Lois M. on 23rd Jan 2015
If you are taking supplements to live a healither life you should take a second look at magnesium. The first complaint I hear from people that are working out to stay in shape is they have trouble sleeping or can not get to sleep right away. Sleep is an important pillar to complete body health. This product is the solution I recommend for people experiencing sleep problems. Please note, sleep is only one of many many benfits of taking a magnesium supplement. However, a good nights sleep is one of your most immediately noticable benefits.
The time release (SRT) is unique when it comes to magnesium supplements and will keep me coming back for more. Thanks, Jigsaw
