Diabetes: Conventional and Prescription Medications

Prescription medications can cause depletion of important nutrients — such as magnesium — and can interact negatively with other prescriptions or over-the-counter drugs, and can produce a wide range of side effects. It's best to consult with your pharmacist regarding any known drug interactions, contraindications, and side effects when you are filling your prescriptions.

For those with type 1 diabetes, insulin injections are indicated. In the case of type 2 diabetes, oral medications are usually prescribed. These include:

  • Sulfonylureas
  • Biguanides
  • Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors
  • Thiazolidinediones
  • Meglitinides11

I am very pleased. I have GERD and was worried that your supplements may interfere. Not one bit. I am glad that I listen to Dennis Prager and took his word for it. Thanks for taking the time to ask about my results. Have a Magnesium Christmas!
