|
Quickly test your saliva to see if you have an acid alkaline imbalance.
- Accurately assesses acid and alkaline levels by giving a clear reading in increments of .25.
- Uses the double color method to allow you to easily match colors for more accurate readings.
- Can test using saliva or urine.
- Tests a broad range of levels from 4.0 to 9.5 (although pH levels in the body generally fall into a fairly narrow range from 5.8 to 7.6.).
- Comes complete with the pH strips, instructions, color indicator chart, and a how-to guide for interpreting your results.
- Is used and preferred by practitioners.
- Is easier to read than pH paper which tends to get blurry when wet.
Test your pH levels 2 times per week at the same time each day. Test your saliva 60 minutes after each meal because the alkaline levels of your saliva can be greater immediately after eating.
SALIVA: Take a saliva reading before and after meals. The alkaline levels of your saliva should be greater after meals because there is an abundance of alkaline-rich materials in saliva. Then test your saliva 60 minutes after a meal. If the pH level is lower than 6.75, then your alkaline mineral reserves are too low.
URINE: For best results, test your second urination of the morning. You will likely see alkaline levels increase as the day progresses. Test frequently during the day and determine an average.
pH measures acidity or alkalinity on a scale of 1 to 14. The lower the pH, the greater the level of acids found in your body, the higher the pH, the greater the level of alkaline. At 7, you’ve achieved a neutral pH—exactly where you want your body to be!
Your body continually strives to balance its pH by borrowing minerals from vital organs and bones. When the balance is compromised, you may experience health problems. Many healthcare professionals believe that some chronic conditions stem from an “acid alkaline imbalance”—causing weakened body systems and potentially serious health ailments.
Good health requires your body to have a neutral pH level, and a balanced pH begins with proper diet and nutrition. Avoid foods such as chemical sweeteners, coffee, soft drinks, sugar, and white flour. Eat vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of mineral water, and take high quality supplements to help neutralize your pH. You may also need to replenish your body with quality multi mineral, calcium, and magnesium supplements.
It is important to note that pH levels and stomach acid are very different. The pH of most bodily tissues should be close to neutral. Stomach acid or hydrochloric acid, however, should be very high to assist in digestion. To raise levels of hydrochloric acid in your stomach, choose Jigsaw Health Betaine HCl + Pepsin.
